Information regarding the credit system

Credits are the usage unit for SiteCockpit's AI-powered features. You receive credits through your subscription or by purchasing additional credits and can use them flexibly across supported functions.

Credit Overview

You can find your credit overview in the Account Settings section.

There, you will also see a detailed overview of all credit-related transactions as well as your current credit usage.

What can credits be used for?

Credits are currently used for two easyAI features:

Alt text generation for images

Credits allow you to automatically generate alt texts for images on your website.
This improves website accessibility and supports search engine optimization (SEO).

  • Billing is based on each generated alt attribute

  • Suitable for content that has an alt attribute

Website translation

Credits are also used for automatic website translation.
Translations are powered by a high-quality translation technology.

  • Billing is based on the number of translated characters

  • Suitable for pages, categories, product descriptions, and other content

What is the value of a credit?

Credits have a fixed and transparent value, regardless of whether they come from a subscription or are purchased separately.

Example:

  • 1,000 credits equal

    • 200 generated alt attributes
      or

    • 80,000 translated characters

This results in:

  • 1 alt text = 5 credits

  • 8,000 translated characters = 100 credits

All calculations are handled automatically during usage.

Credits included in your subscription

Depending on your subscription plan, you receive a fixed number of credits every month.

Please note:

  • Subscription credits are reset monthly

  • Unused credits expire at the end of the billing month

  • Credits do not roll over to the next month

Each new billing month starts with your full monthly credit allowance.

Purchasing additional credits

If your monthly credit allowance is not sufficient, you can purchase additional credits at any time.

Benefits of purchased credits:

  • No expiration

  • Available until fully used

  • Ideal for larger projects or temporary increased usage

In which order are credits used?

Credits are consumed automatically in the following order:

  1. Credits included in your subscription are used first

  2. Purchased credits are used only after subscription credits are exhausted

This ensures that your monthly subscription credits are fully utilized and that purchased credits remain available for as long as possible.
