Is a cookie consent tool required to use easyVision on a website?
No, you do not need a cookie consent tool for easyVision. If one is in use, easyVision can be configured as a technically necessary cookie, as we do not collect any user-related data, but only check for a new configuration and deliver it.
Does easyVision meet the requirements of the Barrierefreiheitstärkungsgesetz (BFSG)?
Our widget does not cover all the requirements of the BSFG, only a small part (such as zoom, dyslexia, contrast). easyVision alone is therefore not legally compliant. This is why our easyMonitoring solution is so important, as it allows you to identify the technical and content-related issues on the site that need to be adapted.
Does easyVision comply with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)?
We do not store any personal data or user profiles. Only the IP address is transmitted to our server when the configuration is queried, which we cannot prevent. The IP address is not stored.
Is cookie consent required when using SiteCockpit easyVision?
As a matter of principle, we are not permitted to provide legal advice; this is the responsibility of lawyers in Germany. We therefore ask you to discuss use with an IT lawyer. We set a cookie so that we can display the same configuration to the user when they return, but since we do not track any data, we believe that easyVision can be configured as a technically necessary cookie so that it always works, even if the user rejects “all.” Our solution helps you to comply with the legal requirements.
We have the following information regarding a possible entry in the cookie manager:
- Purpose of data collection: Data is collected for the technical provision of the service and for the execution of the concluded contract (§ 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TTDSG, Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).
- What data is collected?: The data in the “cookies” is the domain-specific configuration (easy-vision-configuration) and the values set by the customer (easy-vision-settings).
- Legal basis: Data is collected for the technical provision of the service and for the performance of the contract concluded (§ 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TTDSG, Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).
- Duration of cookies: easy-vision-configuration: browser session, easy-vision-settings: unlimited
- Place of processing: servers in Germany
Here, easy-vision-configuration is the session storage and easy-vision-user-settings is the local storage.
